History of Satan

History of Satan

Lucifer was one of the angels of God. At that time, he was the servant of God. But he did not like that position. He did not want to be called angel. Instead; he had the pursuit of aspiring for a higher position, and in his heart, he said:” I will ascend into the Heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit upon the Mount of Congregation, in the north side. I will ascend above the height of clouds and I will be like the Most the Most High God. See Isaiah 14:12-14. That did not work. When he wanted to put himself at a higher position, God, decided to bring him down to hell. See Isaiah 14:15.

Lucifer, son of the morning Star fell to the ground, because of that, he is known as Fallen Angel. After he falls down, he tries to weaken individuals, tribes and nations.

Since Pre-Adam time Satan has existed. The existence of Satan is not fantasy, but is real. See 1st Peter 5:8. Regarding this, the Bible says: "Your enemy, the Devil prowls like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour."

At first as an angel of the Lord, Lucifer was the servant of God. In the Book of Isaiah 14:12-15, the history of Satan is described. Because of his pride to be God, and his desire to be ruler the whole universe, he was casted from Heaven, and his name became fallen angel.

Christians believe Satan acts as leader of the fallen angels. These demons, existing in the form of invisible spirit affect us. However; do not worry. This Satan, which rebelled against God, is now under the control of God, though, he pretends as angel of light. Even then, be careful. He deceives humans. Since the time of Adam and Eve, he is still deceiving. See Genesis Chapter 3 for more understanding.

Holy Cross Celebration in Ethiopia

Holy Cross Celebration in Ethiopia

Eyoha! Eyoha! Eyoha!

When everything is done for the glory and power of the Lord, it is great. Amen!
See 1st Peter 4:11

Asmare Tikuye is an artist. When I saw the wonderful picture of Asmare, my brother that he posted for Holy Cross Holiday I was happy. Then, I posted this for the glory of the Lord.

You can see these pictures at www.facebook.com/asmare.tikuye

The Ethiopian Orthodox Church celebrates the finding of the Cross on September 27 according to European Calendar of each year. Ethiopians do not use European calendar, so, this celebration is on September 17 according to Ethiopian Calendar. Before celebrating this great Holiday according to Ethiopian tradition, on the eve of September 17 of each year, that is, in the evening of 16 of September of each year, there is what is called Demera.

Demera is an Ethiopian word for bonfire or fireworks. This happens in the center of Addis Abeba, at a place called Maskal - Adebay or Maskal Square. In this place a large crowd, young and old, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the patriarch and other high Church officials attend the ceremony of the Holy Cross celebration each year. When the celebration is going on, the Patriarch of Ethiopia steps forward and lights the large bone-fire- praying for the wellbeing of the society, for the development of the economy, and for the strong faith of the people of Ethiopia in the name of God, Jesus the Son and Holy Spirit.

After that the large crowd sings and dances for the glory of the Lord, saying:
Eyoha! Eyoha Eyoha! X 3
Eyoha Abebaye – Meskerem Tebaye
Eyoha! Abebaye- Meskerem Tebaye
Eyoha Abebaye –Eyoha! Abebaye
Eyoha! Eyoha.. Eyoha .
Eyoha! Eyoha. Abebaye ! Meskerem Tebaye

Beating the drum and singing Eyoha Abebaye continues throughout Ethiopian villages and in every country of the world wherever Ethiopians live.
This proves that the heart of Ethiopians throughout the Ages is open to the Cross, to the Gospel and to Jesus Christ.

You might have celebrated Maskal. You also know about Jesus is great. But to accept Jesus as your Savior is much better, because he, who accepts Jesus, as his Savior enjoys eternal life. (Please read the italics again.)

To accept Jesus as your Savior, will not decrease your self esteem, but will help you to grow from glory to glory.

Leave Egypt and Celebrate!

Leave Egypt & Celebrate birth day

Knowledge is good. A person with no knowledge perishes. Nobody likes that.

N.B:- A person born only one time dies twice, that is in his flesh and in his spirit. But a person who is born twice dies only one time and that is in his flesh. He does not die in his spirit, but goes to heaven.

Egypt is symbol of old way of life. That has to go away. We have to reject old way of life, especially when we celebrate our birth days. It is pity to celebrate birth day still following old way of life. So, when celebrate our birth day, we need to be new, reconciled with God.

We need to throw away our filthy old clothes. We need to wear new garment of salvation. See Isaiah 61:10-11.

When we wear garment of salvation, we become extra ordinary, righteous and sanctified. When we are born again, on our behalf angels celebrate our birth day dancing in front of God.

To accomplish that, we need to be born again. Leaving behind the old way of life, becoming a new person, refreshing and transforming our life, we march towards eternal life.

Therefore; let us follow the road to salvation, Eternal Life, but first, let us read the greatest verse in the Bible- John 3:16. – “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have Eternal Life.”

Nonetheless; before we celebrate our birth day, let us read and meditate John 3:16 to transform our spiritual life.

Adversely; if we just celebrate our birth day from year to year without activating John 3:16 in our life, we will never be transformed in our spirit. As grow up, we show medals of wrinkles on our neck or face, to demonstrate the number of years we live on earth.
